Sunday was a 50 km bike trip day, the surroundings are still rather bland around here with no colour in anything but the sky and it was absolutely stunning.
Of course I couldn't get on the bike and not go by the lake and check things out. Shoreline fog added a new deminsion and colour to the horizon.
The sun was doing its magic.
When I lay back on a picnic table to take a rest I could not resist this photo! Whichever way you look at it, it is great!
Click on all the photos for better views and this photo makes a great screensaver....feel free to use it!
Happy Spring everybody!

The ice looks majestic. But I am ready for the sun to do its magic and melt the ice and add some colour to the trees.
All your photos are beautiful. Living here in California though, its the block of ice that's melting that has really struck me. I don't get to see that at all.
Enjoy the weekend. Hope your thawing continues.
Love that chunk of ice!
Carolyn: What a neat set of skies and your ice is really something.
Thanks for taking us along on the trip. Love that melting ice, sunlight and gravity make a great artistic team! We finally got open water along the Erie north shore here, but we also had a few flurries this afternoon :-(
50km bike ride! Beautiful blue skies...love the lake shot...and the ice...
The winter photos are beautiful. It really makes me want to go there (which I do)
I just LOVE your blog. Thank you
Deb
I hope you had a soft saddle on that bike! From what I remember, Prince Edward County is fairly flat, right?? I love your pictures in this post. That "ice cube" is amazing.
Looks like you are enjoying yourself. If that is what is left of the lake ice it must have been something in mid-winter. I invite you to come see my clearing sunshine. - Margy
Holy moly..I'm a snowbirder in Arizona presently!! You still have snow and ice!! I'd better stay here a bit longer..like until May!!
Great captures of the ice!
What a beautiful world you live in!! I am amazed!!!
Wonderful shots..lovely brilliant blue sky!
Blue, blue, blue---YES!!!
All super shots even upside down. LOL MB
What a wonderful collection of shots! Your sky was a brilliant blue, and I am sure your color will come... just look what the fog did to create a splash of color. Awesome, the ice. Wow. We don't see anything like that down here.
it's interesting how you've flipped the tree upside down. i like the house, and the snow!
You captured a lovely day beautifully!
Beautiful shots. I especially love your small iceberg. Looks like a good day to get out and do your long ride.
Fantastic photo collection to celebrate the stirings of spring. Thanks for sharing with us all in Sky Watch Friday and thanks for your kind comments on my post earlier.
Great SWF photos. Like some of your folks that commented before me, I do like the picture of the ice melting. Thanks for sharing.
Each and every image is wonderful! What a day you had, ooh la la!
The house is so strange to Scottish eyes - just placed on the ground with no surrounding bit of garden, but open to the woods and fields.
And that ice by the lake is - epic!
Incredible wall of ice! The upside-down tree is magical too.
The sun really did it´s magic in so many ways. The church organ of an ice berg was simply great.
wow!! your photos are gorgeous.... the ice is truly amazing...thanks for dropping in at the lakewood snap! you might enjoy my other blog also - mouse medicine.
I will definitely be back.....hope soon there will be plenty of signs of the new season!
What amazing shots...each one so beautiful on its own.
The ice is amazing, looking like a mountain or cliffs...incredible.
Wow you really have some remarkable photo's here. I really would like to thank you for stopping by mine. We are not getting that much color around here yet either, Soon I hope! Real, real soon!
Awesome irresistable shot from the picnic table - really striking! Thanks for dropping by monasterydailyphoto.
Spectacular shots.
Love your pics of the shore ice. I always have mixed feelings about letting go of winter (or anything else), but let's tilt in and welcome spring.
You have so nicely captured the stark beauty of the area. Wonderful colors and contract - nto boring at all!
