A Little more of Toronto - SkyWatch Friday #34

I can tell I am on holiday as I seem to have lost a day! This photo could have gone with the previous post as it was taken to show the contrast between the stately Royal York Hotel (foreground) and the spectacular new development that is the Royal Bank Centre. Toronto was oh so cold but the sun and blue skies made it feel warmer and it put a smile on peoples faces!
I was heading out on the train again when I took the photos around Union Station of the CN Tower and the Royal York.
For more spectacular skies from around the world go to SkyWatch Friday.

Toronto has been very cold this week. How brave of you to visit from the balmy West Coast!

In the first photo, I love the gleam of light on the tall building. Very nice captures!

I read back a ways, thinking how cool to take a trip like this. Then I saw those wheels! Yikes! Definitely looks flat to me. :)

These are great shots.

Wow! Awesome skyscape! I love those tall buildings against the blue skies. I went up the CN tower a long time ago. It was so windy up there that I almost got sucked out of the door. Fun! Hope you're enjoying your time in Toronto.

Great blue sky color in that first shot. Contrasts well with the more flat, sterile colors of the city.

I am so glad you got blue skies for your day there. Gray buildings against gray sky would have made that cold day even colder. That top image is great.

Neat shots! I've been up in the Tower, but that other amazing building was "after my time" in Toronto.

Hi Carolyn,

I'm finally all caught up on your blog. Great pictures! I hope you're enjoying your trip.

Haida Gawii is definitely somewhere I'd like to explore and is one of the few places south of 60 I'd consider moving - and that DOES sound like a great opportunity. For now, though, I'm going to keep on with my consulting practice because I enjoy the flexibility and range of work that I can take on. Thanks for the heads-up, though!
