SkyWatch Friday ~ A Good Friday

If I were not here to witness it, I would not believe the temperatures we are having this weekend (check 'em out on the side bar!).  The beautiful warm temperatures have brought blue skies.
I am finishing a housesit on the Scarborough Bluffs of Toronto overlooking Lake Ontario.
The backyard leads out to a beautiful ravine walk that leads to Cudia Park overlooking the Bluffs and Lake Ontario.
Signs of spring are beginning to show

and down at the Bluffs a robin stands sentinal against a blue sky and bluer lake.
The warmth has everyone out sunning...

This little guy was not happy to see us.
On the walk home through the neighbourhood we met this fella enjoying the greening grass....
and as I checked out the back yard crocus(?)
this little fella landed on my hand and stayed while I walked up the stairs to get my camera
to get some pictures of him!
To see other beautiful skies from the world why not join us at
and remember any photo can be clicked on to enlarge.

That's an amazing pair of shots of the bird. I know they will light on hands, but usually at movement they fly away. Great shots!

Lucky you! It's not cold here but the wind is blowing something terrible, at least in Powell River and along the Strait of Georgia. From noon on they have been building. None of the ferries from Vancouver Island have run so there are lots of very unhappy holiday travelers sitting in line down at the ferry terminal. The little ferry to Texada Island keep running. You just can't keep that little guy down. They are replacing both of our ferries in the near future. I can't imaging a better design that the one we've got. - Margy

These photos make me want to get back to Ontario more than ever. I haven't been in forty years (both my parents' families started out there), but I'm pretty sure it's where I need to go. Thanks for sharing these--and for visiting the Farm.

What a cheeky little bird!

As for the moose: That's quite the lawn ornament there.

I've read about the amazingly warm temperatures you've been enjoying! I can't imagine...since we have snow in the Cariboo, and here on the Island, the wind has been on a rant, and it's been raining along with it!

You've got some gorgeous shots of the animals enjoying Spring! Birds have sat on my hand...I was really amazed at how very light they feel.

By the way, the Word Verification for this comment is nests!

I can’t believe this little bird just staying on your hand – that is lovely, and lovely shots too. It has been very warm here as well. It’s like by-passing spring and going directly into summer; it is 84 degrees right now (28C.) Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

Wow, there's so much to see and so much beauty of the nature to gaze at! I'm quite amazed how the little bird came to you and allowed you to take pictures also :-) Generally birds get scared away... The question that comes to my mind is How you did it?

Loved the view of the lake!

That bird is so cool! It looks like a lovely place to visit. And I love seeing the first signs of spring, especially after all of the snow this winter.

Isn't spring wonderful!!! I have not seen a small bird stay on a hand like that, either!
