A Klondike Mystery

Last spring I was invited to housesit for a Canadian mystery writer new to Prince Edward County, Ontario.  Vicki had responded to my housitting ad and I accepted the invitation.  I spent two months enjoying the people, history and environs of Prince Edward County and before I left Vicki gave me a signed copy of her latest book release "Gold Digger, A Klondike Mystery" a fast paced murder mystery set in  Dawson City of 1898 in Yukon Territory of Canada.
If you enjoy mystery and history you will love this book and from what I have read, the follow-up, "Gold Fever, A Klondike Mystery" being released on April 1st should be just as thrilling. If you'd like a chance to win a copy of this book visit Vicki Delany's Blog and answer the question....you won't be disappointed!

Thanks for the heads up about the giveaway!
I lived in the NWT for 3 years but never made it to Dawson City.
What a great way to spend a couple of months!

The Klondike was full of mysterious happenings, and this book sounds like an interesting continuation.

Dawson City was an interesting place to visit. We flew there in our airplane several years back. Approaching the airport the air traffic controller called a passenger plane to let them know we were nearby. He said, "There's a Pace Arrow 20 miles at 10:00." Of course the pilot couldn't see us that far away, but it was a very quiet day. Wayne and I didn't correct the controller. Our Piper Arrow has been called a lot of things, but we wondered what a Pace Arrow was. Maybe something like an old Tri-Pacer. That night we were on a river cruise when we passed vehicles waiting for a ferry to cross the Yukon River. Right in front was a huge motorhome with Pace Arrow emblazoned on the side. We laughed out loud. We could imagine the pilot of that passenger plane looking for a flying motorhome cruising through the sky. - Margy

Interesting! I love Prince Edward County, and visit quite often for weekend getaways. I've only been to Dawson City once, but really really loved it - we timed it to be there for 24 hours of daylight and it was spectacular! Will definitely check out the book! We had our pic taken as gold diggers during the rush..lots of chuckles about that too.

Oh, lucky you! It looks really interesting! I like reading about that period in English history, and it would be intriguing to read about Canada during the 19th century too.

It just occurred to me that thee are these ice cream sandwiches called Klondike bars! Maybe I'll pick THAT next time through. You're inspirational.

On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!
