One of the things about being in the city(Toronto at the moment) is doing things that I can not do on Haida Gwaii. Like going to the Toronto Centre for the Arts to see Jersey Boys,so much fun; shopping at the St. Lawerence Market, an experience all it's own; walking Toronto's PATH, 27 kilometers(16 miles) of underground shopping and entertainment....27 kms!!!!
and shopping at IKEA!
I went to the North York store which took about an hour on public transportation. I was astounded to see the new construction go on around the store, 45 acres, 20 towers, 5000 suites...gotta be good for IKEA!

It was a fine afternoon, I had fun, lunch and I got out of the store having spent only $21.00! Believe it!

The skies are gorgeous at the moment aren't they? Also a warm(+9)weekend coming up .WOW! I love the photos this week showing the sky and flags. You are a brave soul riding for an hour on TTC! How on earth did you keep it down to 21 dollars! Seems like you are doing fine in Toronto!
Hooray for enjoying the Big City! And Ikea rules! Very colorful post and a fun day you shared.
Good shots, especially the flags against the blue sky.

Amazing! Someone should start an IKEA blog where everyone around the world takes pictures of their IKEA store. We sometimes go to ours for lunch. I love their Swedish meat balls with mashed potatoes. Yum.
nice blue sky
Good for you for getting out of IKEA for only $21! I have been in the North York store on a Saturday. IKEA does a brisk business! The parking lot was full.
gorgeous blue skies.
It looks fun. I've never been to IKEA. I guess that I'll have to check it out.
Love the flags, and the store front looks so inviting. $21.00 you say!!!

Wow, I can't imagine leaving IKEA and only spending $21! Double-wow!
Love Ikea but its a 7 hour round trip for us. Great photos.
Only 21 dollars?! Wow...that would be a record for me, lol! Love the flags! There's so much to do in Toronto, by the sounds of your post...I'm quite envious.
Hope you have a great weekend, Carolyn!
World domination by IKEA! My husband and daughter were at ours on Saturday. They just went for light bulbs but came home with two sets of crockery as well.
