SkyWatch Friday ~ Memories

(All photos can be clicked to enlarge and view detail)
I am off on a 5,500 km (3500 mi) road trip tonight beginning with an 8 hour ferry ride so this morning has been spent walking the beach and spit for the last time until April.
The day could not have been more beautiful with drama in the sky and on the beach. When you live by the sea it is hard to leave it.
But I am going to visit family and to await the arrival of my first grand child.
So I will hold these wonderful vistas and memories until I return in the spring.
And maybe one day I can share this beautiful place with my Grandson.

For more beautiful skies from around the world join us at
SkyWatch Friday.

Oh! I am going to miss you and your amazing photos! But I'm sure you are going to enjoy the time with your grandchild. What a lucky little one...to have a grandma who lives on an Island with those heart stopping beaches!

I say again, what an awesome place you call home and I know you will miss it while you are away, but you will find other things to keep you busy until you meet your new grandchild.

Safe travels!

You already know your grandchild to be a boy. How wonderful. I do not have one of those adoreable entities as yet. It is the love that must not mention its name just yet!

Lovely area in which you live.

It will be fun to take your grandchildren to the beach to play but in the mean time I can assure you that if the beach is in your blood, no matter where you travel, if you close your eyes and listen you will be able to hear the surf.

I especially like that third shot,... the angle of the clouds and the angle of the surf and beach. Nice work!

Best wishes Carolyn for your travels and the birth of your grandson.

These shorelines are beautiful, and especially the cloud coming up over the edge of the world.
