Watery Wednesday ~ North of Lake Superior

Travelled across the top of Lake Superior yesterday and am always awed by it's beauty and size.
The lake is quickly freezing but where there was open water a weather system was forming. This picture is taken from a moving bus behind tinted windows but if you enlarge it you will see the warmth of the lake water being drawn up to make the clouds...quite fascinating.
Taken at dusk near White River, Ontario, one of the coldest places in Canada and the home of Winnie the Poo!

Oh dear me, you're traveling again! Your photo always have this ethereal presence within them. And, I can always imagine how it was there in the long ago.

That is interesting how the clouds form right at the surface of the lake. Fine captures!

Great pictures! In December of 1942 Charles was on guard duty at Manning Depot in Edmonton, - he swears it was 60 below F, - I always maintained it was only 58!
