SkyWatch Friday #56 ~ Hope

(Click on any photo for more detail)
I woke one morning last week very early and could not go back to sleep. I went out to my meditation spot on the knoll to watched the sun rise.
There were all the signs of a change in the weather.
Red morning sky, wispy mares' tails
and fog pouring in from the west coast
but by the time I walked to work the sky was clear and the sun was hot!

I love early mornings in the summer... but I really dislike the waking up process, so I usually miss the best ones!

Very scenic series. The first two shots are my favorite.

I was hoping the red in the morning meant you'd have gotten some much needed rain! Sure is a pretty sky. ;-)

There's a perfection to those early morning skies-and-water, especially with that thin bright line that seprates them.

Feels like you can walk right into the first photo - it's so calm.

Hope you get some rain soon - you are very welcome to the storms we've got here!

Early morning is the best time of the day, - always an opportunity for lovely shots like these. We have been very smoky here, too (in the Similkameen)

How tantalising to see a change in the weather coming and then for it to disappear. You're so lucky to have such a beautiful spot to go to when you waken early. Here in the city it's not so scenic when I wake early!

Not always are the most spectacular skies the most satisfying. Your skies were beautifully atuned to meditating.

All the photos are beautiful, but that first one is spectacular. It does give the feeling of hope for a wonderful day.

What beautiful sky – the first picture could be an abstract painting – it is really pretty. I am a late person – usually read until 1 or 2 am, so I don’t get up early enough to watch the early sky, so I love watching yours.
