Into Each Life......

Be still sad heart and cease repining;

Behind the clouds the sun is shining,

Thy fate is the common fate of all,

Into each life a little rain must fall,

Some days must be dark and dreary.

~Longfellow~

but the blue sky and sunshine do return...
I am back!

I wonder how they got all the shoes in the one area? Or maybe they just have good aim!
I love your new header!!

Thank you for the reminder of a beautiful and meaningful poem I had nearly forgotten. I think you must be an artist, Carolyn, to have made running shoes hanging on a wire look so enchanting. :)

Pardon my ignorance but is there a meaning behind hanging shoes on a wire? Is it an expression of friendship or loss? Or am I reading too much into it?

So that's what they do when the lost and found bin gets full! Glad you're back.

I really like this shot! What a whimsical thing to do - my sister's town has a tree where all of the old shoes end up over the branches.

Welcome back - I've missed you!!!

I just love the shot. Probably not the best for the power line though. - Margy
