My son was just saying today that it hasn't snowed enough here in the Alberni Valley - I will let him know you have it all there .... Carolyn I would love to have your blog listed at herblogdirectory.com :)
Hi Carolyn, That blizzard looks exciting. I have never been in a blizzard. We have had heavy snow, but never combined with high winds! We were at the beach a couple of days ago and there were a few brave kids paddling barefoot! And here we will be having the winter Olympics after our warmest winter on record.
Lovely contrast in photos, Carolyn! It's raining...RAINING!...here in the Cariboo...we haven't seen a good old-fashioned blizzard for weeks. The weather has been warm and dry...the complete opposite of last year, when it was sooo cold and snowy.
It just doesn't feel right to have no snow in the Cariboo in January...
The weather on the coast has been quite lovely lately. Yesterday I went for a walk in the mild sunshine and admired all the lush greenery and the crocuses and snowdrops in bloom. ;-)
(Of course that was a one-off and the forecast for the week is solid rain, lol.)

That's some snow storm... looks like the one we've just had!
Yes, I can see why...stay warm.
I'm dreaming of a beach right now, too. Guess it's the mid-winter "cabin fever" time.
Nice capture of the tree--it makes one feel a little cold and lonely though (Still, I do love snow photos because it's never cold, where I live)
But the second photo of the beach looks like fun.. the blue is very calming.
Both photos are really great.
..oh, but the fact that it's an actual blizzard-y weather makes it a little scary
That does look cold and stormy! Guess I'll quit whining about the rain!! Great beach shot to escape to! Have a great weekend, Maargaret!

I'd exchange a blizzard for a beach too, even a chilly one.
It looked just like that at our farm yesterday! Looking forward to spring.

Both are beautiful photos, but I'd rather be in the beach scene!
Wow what a contrast in photos, excellent post.
All the best

Yes, a few days in California would be a nice break right now. ;-)

You are so in tune with the world. It shows in your photos and (presumedly) your dreams ...
