SkyWatch Friday ~ Weather

Our primary weather on Haida Gwaii originates from the southeast, it brings high winds and rain and everything from homes to trees are anchored to withstand this weather.
However, occassionally the weather will shift around and come out of the southwest which reeks havoc.
This series of photos were taken within two hours yesterday.
We went from what looked like a beautiful day, to winds, rain, hail and zero visibility.

Even if it's making a wreck out of things, it makes for beautiful captures. I love how you can SEE the weather, not just see a blob of it.

Even with gray skies and drizzle, it's gorgeous. Wish our weather here in California would have a bit more variety....it's just blue skies everyday!!

I CAN SAY THE SAME OF YOUR POST! Amazing series of shots!
Our weather comes in the the SW and I know it will be rainy when it blows hard from the SE! Just your opposite! Did you hear about our tornado? Lots of fun!

Carolyn, you live in such a wonderful place! I am green with envy, I have always love the north, the further north the better and am stuck upside down in Australia where it is hot and dry.
It is always more productive to fight the elements than go to war with one's neighbours.
I have always longed to make contact with a wise woman of the fist nations. Somewhere I have a deep connection especially to a wolf tribe.

Thanks for your visit.
