Prince Rupert, British Columbia is the rainiest city in Canada with an average yearly rainfall of 2600 mm or 102 inches
So buildings are brightly painted to keep spirits high.
I have to admit the bright colours always bring a smile to my face despite the grey skies.
For other beautiful reflections why not visit

Looks like a fun place whatever the weather!
great scenes...makes me want to get back to BC for a visit!
102 inches? OMG, but that's a lot of rain. Must be gray a lot, sort of like Seattle. I love the bright buildings and they would bring a smile to my face too. Nice captures with the reflections. Going kyaking?
Glad that I do not have that much rain..
The reflection is wonderful and so clear..great colors too!:-)
That seems an obvious idea. Wonder why it's never caught on over here!
You must be home or nearly home by now!

We love having colourful things around our cabin, especially in the winter. We just bought some new windmills and water toys for summer. While most of the cabins looks dull and drab most of the year, ours is a bright spot that looks well lived in. - Margy
We were just in Rupert on our way back from an Alaskan Cruise. The weather that day was lovely. I guess we missed the rain! lol
Love the North Coast.Lived in Masset for a year and my life will never feel complete until I'm back under the spell of Haida Gwaii.I just stubbled upon your blog but I'll be a regular because it helps to ward off the loneliness I feel for the Big Blue.
