I am 100kms and two days from home and this morning I finished my road trip on the "hound". This was the sight that welcomed us this morning at day light along Hwy 16 in northern B.C. Don't know its name but it was breathtaking.

Outside of the first shot these are all "drive-by" shots from the bus. These are the BC Coastal Mountains.

These are known as the Seven Sisters oustide of Hazelton, BC.

The long and not so winding highway.

The river, the road and the railway share a very narrow valley.

There is very little snow pack on the mountains for this time of year.

Not a lot of "wiggle" room if you want to pass!

What a wonderful place! I love the first shot and the mountain.
Wish you a nice weekend:-)
OMG, what Amazingly Gorgeous country. I love those rugged mountains, narrow roads and icy looking river.
I'll bet you're glad to be home.
BC stole my heart so many years ago and pics like that remind me why. So glad you're almost home after a long journey, but what an amazing trip through the most beautiful land.
Wow Carolyn, what stunning photos. I can just feel the crisp dawn air in the first one. And the mountains!!! I travelled that road when I was a student, way back in the 80's, and had forgotten about the Seven Sisters until I saw your photo. The memories came rushing back.
So glad you documented your trip.
So beautiful!
Wow, you had some beautiful views on your trip. I love the seven sisters, and the view over the water. Even with all that, I'm sure you're getting weary of traveling.
Hope the rest of the trip goes smoothly.
Northern BC is very beautiful. I haven't been there in a few years but these images have me wanting to head back!
