MyWorld Tuesday ~ Discovery Walks

Toronto has a wonderful network of urban wild areas just waiting to be discovered.

Figured the best way out of the February blahs was to attack them head on!
Hidden in neighbourhoods behind homes there are well maintained boardwalks,
 markers,
scarsely any snow for this time of the year
escape routes
and other recreational activities
the weekend's left behinds
For more great spots to take a walk why not join us at
and remember all photos can be enlarged for more detail

Yep, great places to walk and explore, though they are not obvious are they? I know you'll enjoy them.

Carolyn: Nice captures from the Toronto area. I saw your home area mentioned on the Olympics last night. I thought I know someone from there.

That beautiful blue sky should have helped with the winter blahs. What a nice urban park with the creek it takes you away from the hustle.

I love your walks around Toronto...I've never actually thought about visiting it before, but your photos have made me want to make the trip.

We have no snow here either, which is completely strange for the Cariboo.

Funny how I rarely think of how many near-wild spaces there are in Toronto (probably because I hardly ever go there) but it's true that Toronto has managed to save quite a bit of natural area in spite of the city's size. It's fun to see Toronto through your eyes. :)
